Welcome
Welcome to Audenshaw Primary School.
The present building was erected in 1908 to replace the Audenshaw Endowed School which was built 1783 and rebuilt in 1822.
The school catered for children from the age of 5-14 until 1945,when senior pupils were transferred to secondary schools in the area.
In 1960 the infant and junior Schools were amalgamated under one headship, to accommodate pupils from the age of 5-11 years. The accommodation consists of a hall, which is used for collective worship, physical education, dining and other activities. There are also several permanent classrooms, a new library and two mobile classrooms.
In the period 1964/65 new cloakrooms and inside toilets were completed. Most recently, because of an increase of numbers of children wishing to attend the school, two mobile classrooms have been added on to the school. During the summer of 1999 a new main entrance and I.T suite was built on the school.
